SVoD subscribers in the US have plateaued, but continue to grow in Europe, according to the Ampere Analysis SVoD Barometer.

Growth in SVoD subscriptions in the US has plateaued with no increase is overall penetration for four consecutive quarters.

Although fewer Internet users in Europe have an SVOD subscription compared to those in the US, healthy growth in subscriptions in Europe continues.

However, service stacking means plenty of growth remains in subscriptions.

The average number of SVoD subscriptions in SVoD homes is approaching two.

In the USA, the average number of subscriptions is approaching three.

SVoD subscriber base growing rapidly in key international markets.

More than seven in ten Internet users in Denmark and the USA have at least one SVoD subscription, compared to just over one quarter in Japan.

The markets with the largest growth since Q3 2017 are Australia (+8.6 percentage points), Turkey (+6.8 points) and Italy (+6.2 points).
