AMC Networks International(AMCNI) – Central and Northern Europe has issued a statement on its dispute with the Czech DTH and IPTV operator Digi CZ.

In it the company says: “AMC Networks International (AMCNI) – Central and Northern Europe operates one of the Czech Republic’s most popular pay-TV portfolios. Last month, Digi CZ Group dropped AMCNI channels denying their subscribers access to viewer favourites such as Sport1, Sport2, AMC, Film+, Minimax, Spektrum, TV Paprika and others. This step was taken despite the valid, long-term agreement in place between the companies. The Czech court has issued an order requiring Digi CZ Group to immediately reinstate all AMCNI channels to their subscribers. Digi CZ Group, ignoring the court order and ignoring countless complaints from their subscribers about not having access to their favourite shows and sporting events, has not reinstated the channels. AMCNI would like to thank viewers for their continued support. Fans of sports and entertainment provided by AMCNI have the option to subscribe to any of the other pay-TV platforms, all of which carry our portfolio of channels.”

As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Digi CZ withdrew AMCNI channels from its offer at the beginning of September.
