Telebox is trying to understand how to make it easier for audiences to choose something to watch.
The team have released four examples as part of BBC Taster, though none are planned to be released onto the BBC iPlayer.
One example is the BBC Three Clock. As an on demand channel, there’s no linear schedule, so the premise is that the user selects how much time they have available, and Telebox come back with content to fill the void.
Your correspondent entered 1 hour, 15 minutes, and Telebox obliged with three suggested sequences of programmes.
Further examples pick suitable content depending on your mood, a filter designed to stop arguments between friends on what to watch, and a randomiser that selects content to watch on your phone.
