There has been huge growth in the number of distribution partners of ESL content in the last 12 months, according to Torsten Haux, the company’s VP global media rights and ESports TV.

ESL live formats and content packages are now available on such service as Hulu (US), Rogers Wireless (Canada), Telefonica (Spain), M7 Group (Netherlands, Telekom Austria Group, Vivacom (Bulgaria), Kwese Sports (South Africa), Astro (Malaysia) and Fox Sports (Australia).

Meanwhile, its global partners include YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Twitter and Facebook.

Haux said that the ESL digital community includes 5 million followers on Facebook, 3.3 million on Twitter, 1.7 million on YouTube and 400,000 on Instagram.

More generally, Esports has become a global spectator sport, with 386 million occasional viewers and enthusiasts worldwide.

It is forecast that it will generate $1.5 billion in 2020.

ESL is backed by Modern Times Group (MTG) and the world’s largest esports company.
