Viacom’s free streaming service Pluto TV has added two drama channels to its portfolio in the UK.

Named Pluto TV Drama and Pluto TV Retro Drama, the former offers the most recent content from the UK and rest of the world, while the latter focusses series from the 70s, 80s and 90s .

Commenting on the development, Olivier Jollet, MD Europe at Pluto TV, said: “At Pluto TV we strive to create form fitted environments with programming that designed to attract all types of viewing audiences.

“Pluto TV Drama and Pluto TV Retro Drama are emblematic of our thematically driven linear channels incorporating a mix of established and discoverable content, stemming from our elite pool of content partners, to create highly dynamic and engaging viewing experiences.”

Pluto TV is available on all mobile, web and connected TV streaming devices, offering viewers 100+ live and original channels and thousands of on-demand movies in partnership with major TV networks, movie studios, publishers, and digital media companies.

It is based in Los Angeles and has offices in New York, Silicon Valley, Chicago and Berlin.

As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Viacom completed the acquisition of Pluto TV in March this year.
